Gala Catalonia Dances Against Cancer
The closing of the festival was celebrated with the charity Gala Catalonia Dances Against Cancer.
This gala offered a unique opportunity to enjoy the talent of renowned Catalan dancers who are actively dancing in prestigious international companies such as Het National Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, Czech National Ballet, National Dance Company (Spain), Theater Basel Ballet, National Ballet of Spain and Gauthier Dance, among others.
This show was a fantastic showcase for the outstanding artistic quality of Catalan dancers, who, united in the cause against cancer, performed voluntarily for the public at home. This gala, with a unique format, stood out with a repertoire of varied styles that included own creations as well as renowned choreographies from Marco Goecke, Wayne McGregor and Sharon Fridman.
An hour prior to the performance, Dani Cortada and Anna Pérez gave a presentation in the Saló de Descans for those interested in knowing more about the repertoire of the gala, the styles, the dancers and the companies where they currently work.
Following the gala, the closing of the festival was celebrated with a cocktail dinner in the Saló de Descans with the gala dancers, the organizing team, the sponsors and patrons, and the audience at the gala.
