Intensive course in Classical Ballet

This intensive course was held at the Cont-Class School of Dance on 7, 8 and 9 September, under the direction of the prestigious master Thierry Deballe. This was a classical technique course with repertoire work.

THIERRY DEBALLE

Thierry was trained at the Paris Opera Ballet School. Diploma of State of Master of Classical Dance of the French Ministry of Culture. Fitness certificate from 2013. Gymnastics and youth and sports dance certificate.

1989-1992: dancer with Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo directed by Jean Yves Izquierdo, where he interpreted many ballets by Balanchine.

1992-1998: He continued his career with Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo under the direction of choreographer Jean Christophe Maillot and perforns his great creations.

In 1998 Thierry joined the Béjart Ballet Lausanne. Here he performed as a soloist in Béjart’s great ballets, including L'Oiseau de Feu, Sacre du Printemps, Brel & Barbara and Le Presbytère.

In July 2012 he decided to finish his dancing career to dedicate himself to teaching.

He became a permanent lecturer and then an assistant director at Atelier le Loft (Switzerland), and is an independent teacher in schools and companies, teaching in Belgium, Greece and especially in Japan. Thierry Deballe is also a private master for students of the Paris Opera Ballet School.
